Insomnia Cookies opened in Austin after receiving numerous email requests.

Insomnia Cookies, founded at the University of Pennsylvania, has been quickly expanding into nearly every major college campus for years, and they have finally arrived at UT. While Tiff’s Treats has been the uncontested winner of the Austin cookie industry for years, they now have some newfound competition. Tiff’s treats relies on this awareness and word-of-mouth something that has allowed them to be a cult classic at UT Austin. At the beginning of this year, every Jester resident received a coupon to make toward their first cookie order. The company especially loves gearing its marketing strategy toward the local community. Today, Tiff’s Treats has donated over $60,000 to local charities ( Austin 360 ), and they receive traction and excitement through special promotions. Even when expanding to other states, the company always wanted to maintain their Texas culture.

Four phone calls, two nights of staying up until 1 AM and no cookies for people who are the first contacts to possibly saving our lives. Called the store they said the cookies were just going out to be delivered by Thomas the driver. Noticed they were still in backing mode at 12:18 AM. I stayed awake watching the tracking of the cookies.
They contacted the store but didn’t know the reason the cookies didn’t get delivered but they’d have the store manager call me (which never happened), send me some coupons for the trouble and reschedule the delivery for 4/20 at 12:30 AM. I ordered the cookies on 4/16 to be delivered on 4/19 at 12:30. Wanted cookies delivered to UMD’s 911 Communications Center (midnight shift) in celebration of National Telecommunications Week which has now ended.
